Thinking of You Cards for my Boys - - - April 14, 2011

Hi Crafty Stampers!

Here is another card I made for Matthew and Richard.  I made both of theirs the same.  I have a lot of trouble making cards for guys!  I always want to add all the feminine touches to them but I don't think that they would appreciate that!  I am sure they are not going to think much of the Blushing Bride Cardstock that I used.  I really like the Blushing Bride and Bravo Burgandy together - they look good together!  Matthew is over the pneumonia and Richard is over his cold - both are feeling much better.

Stamp Set:  Bliss (sale-a-bration) and Sincere Salutations

Cardstock:  Very Vanilla, Soft Suede, Crumb Cake, Bravo Burgandy and Blushing Bride

Ink:  Bravo Burgandy

Accessories:  Top Note Die, Big Shot, Corner Rounder Punch, Sponge and Snail

I sponged (just blotted) over the Blushing Bride Top Note with Bravo Burgandy and then sponged around the edges.

Hope you like the card.  This is the first time that I used the "Bliss" stamp that was in the sale-a-bration catalog that ran from January 25th until March 31, 2011.  I hate to see this stamp in particular go.  It looks like it could be used in a lot of different ways.  Let me know what you think!

6 x 6 Technique Page Swap

Hi Crafty Stampers!

I was in a Technique Swap using Stampin' Up! products and received them today.  I thought I would share them with you.  I hope that you enjoy them!

The swap above and below are the front and back of this persons swap - it was done on printer paper and not cardstock that is why you can see the words from the other side.

My scanner is about to kick the bucket so the pictures are not that great.  The above 6 x 6 card is really awesome to see in person.  I love this look!

Aren't the embossing folders awesome!!!  I think this really shows this one off - doing it with the ink to give it the 2-Tone look!

The above technique is Heat Embossing in silver (the heart and the saying - - - saying:  A true friend reaches for your hand and touches your heart.)

As you have read above I love the Stampin' Up! embossing folders.  This looks like it would be hard but is so easy!  The end results are fabulous!

This technique was done with Stampin' Up!'s "My Digital Studio" (MDS).  It really looks nice doesn't it - so realistic!

Stampin' Up! Clearance Rack

Quick update on the boys in Boot Camp  - - -  They both have caught colds and not feeling well.  Matthew has been sick since he got there and finally gave in and went to see the doctor.  He has phenomona and has been put on bed rest.  I sure hope he gets to feeling better fast!

Thinking of You Cards for my Boys

I made these cards for Matthew and Richard.  I had made one similiar for my Daughter's Baby Shower last year.  I think that the Thinking of You cards turned out a lot better - I just changed it around some.  It didn't take more time to do - it just looks like it.

Stamp Sets:  Curly Cute, I {Heart} Heart, Sweet Centers and Fox & Friends

Cardstock:  Mellow Moss, Always Artichoke, Really Rust, Creamy Caramel, So Saffron, Green Galore, More Mustard, Garden Green and Very Vanilla

Ink:  Always Artichoke, Chocolate Chip, Garden Green and Bashful Blue

Marker:  Garden Green and Soft Suede

Punch:   Scallop Edge Punch

NOTE:  Some of the items used on these cards are retired
