Hi Crafty Stampers!
Update on the 12 Days of Christmas Challenge - I still have not received my prize. Hopefully I will real soon!
This is the invitation I made for my daughter for her Baby Shower. I thought it turned out so cute. She wanted a safari theme because that was what they had choose for the wall paper in his room as well as the sheets and everything else. My hands were so tired of cutting all those little animals out for 40 invitations and I have to do it all over again for the Thank You notes!
The top is the front of the card and the bottom is the front of the envelope. I blotted out the informaion that was on the invitation and envelope. That is what the smeared look is.
Above is the inside of the card and the back of the envelope.
I sponged Garden Green on the bottom of the card and Bashful Blue on the top for the sky. The turtle was colored with the Stampin' Write Markers - the shell in Soft Suede and Green Galore on Green Galore Cardstock. The rest of the animals were stamped in Chocolate Chip Ink. The monkey was on Creamy Caramel Cardstock, the lion was on More Mustard Cardstock, the fox was on Really Rust Cardstock and the Girraff was on So-Saffron Cardstock. The Tree was cut fee hand and stamped with the I {Heart} Hearts - Woodgrain heart, Leaves were stamped with the Sweetheart Stamp Set (retired). The few leaves on the tree were stamped on Garden Green Cardstock with Garden Green Ink and cut out. Your Invited was stamped in Bashful Blue with the Sincere Salutations and punched out with the scalloped oval punch in Whisper White Cardstock to look like a cloud. The branch coming off of the tree was punched out using the new Extra Large Punch Two-Step Bird from Chocolate Chip and Garden Green Cardstock.
The inside was stamped with Fox and Friends in Bashful Blue ink on Bashful Blue Cardstock and shower information was printed on a computer. The Edge was done with the new Scallop Edge Border Punch in the Sale-A-Bration Catalog. The envelope flap was stamped with Fox and Friends in Chocolate Chip Ink.
Thank You for stopping by today. Hope you enjoyed "the Baby Shower Invitation " - let me know what you think. If you have any question just let me know. Have a great day!
